An old farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany
All the calm and charm of the Tuscany countryside.
Podere La Casina lays in a strategic position in the heart of Tuscany hills. A farmhouse dating to early XXth century, renewed and cosy where it will be possible find sanctuary from the noisy and busy modern life.
A walk in the nature amidst century-old olive trees and visit the most renowned tourist town and cities of art within short and easy reach.

Arrivati a Ferragosto con lei in dolce attesa, abbiamo trovato l’appartamento fresco anche senza accendere l’aria condizionata e tanto silenzio turbato solo dai grilli la notte è dagli uccellini alla mattina, che dormite! E che mangiate nei ristoranti consigliatici da Alberto!
Ci sono le colline toscane, gli uliveti dietro il podere, le vigne davanti e i tramonti che fan venire voglia di star fuori a guardarli, con un bicchiere di vino in mano o una tazza di caffè. La zona, manco a dirlo, è piena di agriturismi e case vinicole. Super comoda la vicinanza dell’autostrada per raggiungere Lucca, Firenze o anche il mare. Bello e rilassante. Non mi rimane che tornarci.
Un posto accogliente in mezzo alle colline toscane. Siamo stati ospiti durante la settimana del Lucca comics con un gruppo di 4 amici; il proprietario, gentilissimo, ci ha messo a nostro agio e ci ha dato indicazioni utili per la cena e su dove parcheggiare con praticità vicino a Lucca. L’appartamento pulito e ordinato e con un buon gusto estetico, mantenendo qualche elemento originale dalla cascina. Lo consigliamo vivamente.
Volevamo fare un weekend rilassante e in contatto con la natura; abbiamo trovato il posto giusto! La pace è totale visto che La Casina é in piena campagna e poi si può scendere nei campi dove abbiamo visti molti animali selvaggi, anche i cinghiali! Piacevole anche rilassarsi in giardino sulle sdraio.

In summer the apartments are cool thanks to the solid walls and the positioning of the building. Air conditioning is also available in the rooms.
Vegetable garden
Our vegetbale garden lays by the farmyard and is accessble freely to pick the fruits when they are ripe: tomatoes, courgettes and courgette flowers, the typical Tuscan black cabbage, grapes all the vegetable planted in the year.
Large garden
You can enjoy cooling by a mimosa tree or cypress, smell the rosebush simply by entering our garder and feeling relaxed.
Free access to the olive grove
Our groves are populated mainly with olive trees with rows of vines. Access is free and in the springtime they are a perfect spot to stop and enjoy the view on the valley or a picnic, perhaps with typical local products. We produce an exceptional genuine and natural olive oil.

A Spa at a stone’s throw
The two nearest Municipalities to Podere La Casina are Monsummano Terme and Montecatini Terme, the most important spa in the area. All the treatments are offered and the facilities are affiliated with the National Health System. The Grotta Giusti thermal pool is a perfect place to relax and evening events and activities often take place therein. The facilities are generally also equipped to accommodate children.
Deep into nature at the Padule di Fucecchio
Il The Padule di Fucecchio is the largest Italian inland marsh. About 2,000 hectares wide, it extends among the districts of Firenze, Prato, Pistoia, Lucca and Pisa. The majority of the area is included in the Valdinievole. The Padule territory features two separate preserved natural areas thanks to the peculiar and rich flora and fauna as well as its hydrogeological and landscape features.
The Collodi Park
A day in a fairy tale: a park of art, architecture and leisure for a great book to rediscover together, adults and children from all countries. Pinocchio already met over 7 million visitors in Collodi.

Cycle tourism
Hills and many paths in the area around the farm are an invitation for cycle tourism enthusiasts and amateurs alike. Many local associations cooperate with us so that we can provide precise information on the best routes. The Giro d’Italia cycle race rides through the climbing roads around Montevettolini.
Play golf
Golf lovers will find the Montecatini Golf Club at the feet of Montevettolini, 10 minutes from the Casina.
